Not proposing the complete exclusion of scales

There is no doubt that piano scales are essential for mastering fingering and keyboard positioning, but I prefer to work on pieces of music with technical complexity that contain passages akin to scales, thereby strengthening technique.

I’m not proposing the complete exclusion of scales. I’m suggesting that some piano teachers may place an undue emphasis on scales. While learning scales and arpeggios is essential, practicing them for hours every day is not necessary.
